Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Na'am mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

Please Read Carefully: These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Na'am regarding your use of our Service.

Eligibility

By using our Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You are legally eligible to enter into a marriage contract under Islamic law and the laws of your jurisdiction
  • You are seeking marriage for legitimate purposes only
  • All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete
  • You are not prohibited by law from using our services

Account Registration

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Islamic Guidelines and Conduct

Na'am is designed to facilitate halal marriages in accordance with Islamic principles. By using our Service, you agree to:

  • Interact with all users with respect, modesty, and Islamic adab (etiquette)
  • Not engage in inappropriate conversations, harassment, or un-Islamic behavior
  • Involve your mahram (guardian) in the process as required by Islamic law
  • Be truthful and honest in all communications and representations
  • Not use the platform for dating, casual relationships, or any purpose other than seeking marriage
  • Respect the boundaries and preferences of other users
Zero Tolerance Policy: Any violation of Islamic guidelines, including inappropriate behavior, harassment, or fraudulent activity, will result in immediate account termination and potential legal action.

Verification and Safety

We take user safety seriously. By using our Service:

  • You consent to our verification processes, including DBS checks where applicable
  • You agree to provide accurate identification when requested
  • You understand that we reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts pending verification
  • You agree to report any suspicious activity or users to our support team

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Using the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Impersonating any person or entity
  • Creating multiple accounts or false identities
  • Soliciting money or financial information from other users
  • Sharing personal contact information publicly on the platform
  • Uploading false, misleading, or inappropriate content
  • Attempting to circumvent our security measures
  • Using automated systems or bots to access the Service

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Na'am and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United Kingdom and foreign countries. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Na'am.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Na'am, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
